FAQ

1 – Is Good Morning Hostel good for solo travellers?

Absolutely. Goodmorning is purpose-built for solo travel, not just “solo-friendly” like most hostels. We don’t accept families or groups larger than 3, so every guest is in the same situation as you. The spaces, the staff, the daily rhythm — everything is designed to make socializing feel effortless and natural. About half our guests add the Not-So-Solo (all-inclusive) package, which takes it even further with shared dinners, open bar, and daily group activities.

Most hostels are mixed. Families, tour groups, couples, solo travellers all sharing the same space. We only accept solo travellers and groups of up to 3 people. Our staff doesn’t just work here, they hang out in the common areas, join activities, and go out with guests after their shift. Add a free breakfast with real food, nightly communal dinners, open bar hours, and daily activities around Lisbon, and you get something closer to a social experience than a place to sleep.

We’re consistently rated among the top hostels for solo travellers in Lisbon: 9.9/10 on Hostelworld, 9.3/10 on Booking.com, and #1 hostel for solo travellers on TripAdvisor. The reviews speak for themselves — most of them mention leaving with friends they didn’t expect to make.

While our breakfast is free for everyone, the Not-So-Solo package includes: a homemade communal dinner every night at 8pm, unlimited beer and sangria for 5 hours (5–10pm daily), daily group activities around Lisbon, and discounts on all mixed drinks.

When booking direct with us*, It costs 29€/day when added for a single or select day(s), or only 19,50€/day when applied across your entire stay.

We’re at Restauradores Square (Praça dos Restauradores, 65), right in the center of Lisbon. One important note: we’re hidden inside a souvenir shop on the ground floor — enter the building at number 65 and ring the doorbell inside the shop (located between “Fábrica da Nata” and “Grand Café Lisboa”). From the airport, take the metro (Aeroporto → Restauradores, Take the red line until S.Sebastião, and change to the blue line until Restauradores. About 30 minutes). From Santa Apolónia station, it’s about 20 minutes by metro.

Very. Restauradores metro station is steps away. Rossio train station (connections to Sintra, and intercity trains) is a 2-minute walk. Major bus lines stop on the square. Bairro Alto, Chiado, Alfama, and the waterfront are all walkable. Trains to Belém and Cascais are within walking distance

Yes — free Wi-Fi throughout the hostel and a dedicated co-working room for when you actually need to focus. That said, the real appeal is closing the laptop by evening and joining the social side of the hostel. You can have both.

Free breakfast is included for all guests. The spread changes with the season but always includes fresh pancakes with Nutella, eggs, toasties, yogurt with muesli, fresh fruit, coffee, tea, and juice. It’s a proper sit-down breakfast in the communal kitchen — a good place to meet people and plan your day.
